Job summary

VodafoneThree is seeking a senior Data & Analytics leader to design and govern the data architecture for a nationwide digital platform. You will steer data modelling, warehousing, and governance while guiding onshore and partner teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers a hybrid work model, combining office and home-based collaboration with structured, regular in-person days to align with business needs.

Responsibilities

• Design Oversight: Oversee the design of existing and new data capabilities, ensuring alignment with business requirements and Data & Analytics strategy
• Translate business needs and products into a business-friendly data layer, capturing data elements for downstream use
• Define the transformed data layer to support AI, reporting, analytics, and operational use cases
• Create standards for definitions, field names, reference data, and metadata to improve consistency and reuse
• Design Review: Review requirements and impacts on Data & Analytics products, providing technical guidance
• Technical Representation: Represent Data & Analytics in forums, offering tech support to the wider team
• Technical Solution Review: Review low-level solutions, tooling assessments, and test strategies for alignment with standards
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop onshore and external resources, fostering a high-performance delivery culture

Location: Newbury + Hybrid

Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits

Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

What You’ll Do

• Design Oversight: Oversee the design of existing and new data capabilities, ensuring alignment with business requirements and Data & Analytics strategy

• Define the transformed data layer: Design the curated or transformed layer of data so it supports AI, reporting, analytics, and operational use cases
• Create clear standards for definitions, field names, reference data, and metadata to improve consistency and reuse
• Design Review: Review requirements and identify impacts on the Data & Analytics products, providing technical expertise and guidance
• Technical Representation: Represent Data & Analytics in business and technical forums, providing technical support and expertise to the wider team
• Technical Solution Review: Review and challenge low-level technical solutions, tooling assessments, and test strategies to ensure alignment with Data & Analytics standards and best practices
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop onshore team members and multiple external resources, fostering a high-performance, ownership-driven, and continuously improving delivery culture
