Job summary

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced VNA Forklift Driver to join our client in Cumbernauld. This is full-time ongoing work with Monday to Friday shifts, starting week commencing 13th October.

You will be paid £15.50 per hour with weekly pay and there is potential for a permanent position for the right candidate. Duties include safe operation of a VNA forklift, moving pallets, loading and unloading, stock put-away and picking for dispatch.

Qualifications

• Valid and in-date VNA Forklift Licence.
• Recent experience operating a VNA truck within a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Able to commit to Monday to Friday working.

Responsibilities

• Operate a VNA forklift safely and efficiently.
• Move pallets and stock throughout the warehouse.
• Loading and unloading stock where required.
• Putting stock away into designated warehouse locations.
• Replenishing stock locations and picking for dispatch.
• Carrying out daily equipment checks and reporting faults.

VNA Forklift Driver - Cumbernauld

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced VNA Forklift Driver to join our well-established client based in Cumbernauld.

We are looking for candidates who are available to start week commencing 13th October.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing, full-time work, Monday to Friday shifts and weekly pay, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a VNA Driver, FLT Driver, Forklift Driver, Warehouse Operative or Distribution Operative.

Rates of Pay:

• £15.50 per hour
• Weekly pay every Friday

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 07:30 to 16:00
• Full-time ongoing work
• Start date expected from week commencing 13th October
• Candidates must be able to commit to the full Monday to Friday shift pattern

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a VNA Forklift Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Operating a VNA Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Moving pallets and stock throughout the warehouse
• Loading and unloading stock where required
• Putting stock away into designated warehouse locations
• Replenishing stock locations
• Picking and preparing goods for dispatch
• Supporting wider warehouse operations when required
• Carrying out picking, packing and general warehouse duties
• Completing daily equipment checks before use
• Reporting any faults, damage or maintenance issues promptly
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working area
• Following all site Health & Safety procedures
• Working closely with the wider warehouse team to ensure daily targets are achieved

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a VNA Forklift Driver, you will need:

• A valid and in-date VNA Forklift Licence
• Recent experience operating a VNA truck within a warehouse or distribution environment
• Previous warehouse experience
• Confidence operating FLT equipment within a busy environment
• Strong Health & Safety awareness
• Good attention to detail
• Able to work accurately within a fast-paced warehouse
• Reliable, punctual and committed to ongoing work
• Good communication skills
• Able to follow instructions and site procedures
• Able to commit to Monday to Friday working
• Available to start from week commencing 13th October
• Able to reliably travel to the Cumbernauld site for a 07:30 start
