Job summary

The Best Connection Tamworth is actively seeking an experienced VNA Driver to join our distribution team in Tamworth. You will operate a VNA forklift, move palletised stock, and ensure accurate stock locations within a fast-paced warehouse.

Roles offer fixed day or fixed night shifts with no rotation, ongoing temporary work with potential for permanent employment. Training on additional MHE is provided, along with on-site parking and canteen facilities.

• Follow all site health and safety procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping and assist with general duties.

VNA Driver - Days & Nights

Location: Tamworth
Pay: £12.71 days / £13.98 nights per hour + VNA uplift
Contract: Ongoing temporary work with potential for permanent employment
Shift Patterns: Fixed days or nights - no rotation

The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting VNA Drivers to join a well-established distribution company based in Tamworth.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced VNA drivers looking for regular, ongoing work with fixed shift patterns, meaning you will work either days or nights with no rotation.

Permanent positions may be available following a successful trial period.

Pay Rates

• Day Shift: £12.71 per hour
• Night Shift: £13.98 per hour
• VNA Uplift: 80p per hour on days / 88p per hour on nights
• Overtime: Paid at time and one-third

Available Shift Patterns

All shifts are fixed days or fixed nights - no rotation.

3 On / 3 Off

• Days: 06:00 - 18:00
• Nights: 18:00 - 06:00

Monday - Thursday

• Monday: 18:00 - 00:00
• Tuesday - Thursday: 18:00 - 06:00

Sunday - Thursday

• Days: 10:00 - 18:00
• Nights: 18:00 - 02:00

Tuesday - Friday

• Tuesday: 06:00 - 12:00
• Wednesday - Friday: 06:00 - 18:00

Wednesday - Friday

• 06:00 - 18:00 each day

The Role

As a VNA Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Safely and efficiently operating a VNA forklift.
• Moving and positioning palletised stock within the warehouse.
• Putting stock away into the correct locations.
• Palletisation and stock replenishment.
• Shrink wrapping goods ready for dispatch.
• Checking stock and maintaining accurate stock locations.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties as required.
• Operating other MHE where required following appropriate training, including V08, LLOP and PPT.

VNA Licence Requirements

We can accept:

• A valid external VNA licence.
• A valid in-house VNA licence.
• Expired VNA licences from within the last 3 years, subject to successfully completing an assessment or refresher course with one of our trainers.

Inductions are held every Friday at 08:00.

• Experienced in operating a VNA forklift.
• Reliable and punctual.

• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to undertake general warehouse duties.
• Willing to undertake additional MHE training where required.
