A leading education provider in Edinburgh is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Visiting Music Teacher to provide individual Recorder lessons starting January 2026. This self-employed position offers flexible teaching hours and involves a commitment of one day per week, with potential for growth. The ideal candidate will have relevant teaching qualifications and a passion for music education. Involvement in school performances may also be expected, compensated at the standard hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of teaching from primary to S6.
• Experience with individual lessons and student assessments.
• Ability to contribute to performances and events.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly individual Recorder lessons.
• Give feedback and complete annual reports for parents.
• Support exam candidates and contribute to performances.
• Maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
