Job summary

Widener University seeks a one-year, 10-month, non-tenure track visiting faculty member for the Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology in Chester, PA. The role focuses on teaching, advising, and service within the Doctor of Psychology program.

The successful candidate will teach two 3-credit courses per semester, develop course materials, and guide students through dissertations. Clinical psychology licensure paths and strong DEI engagement are expected.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology (Psy.D./Ph.D.). ABD considered if completed by Aug 2026.
• PA psychologist license or license-eligibility with supervision toward licensure available.

Responsibilities

• Teach two 3-credit courses per semester in the Doctor of Psychology program, including syllabi, objectives, assignments, rubrics, and Canvas management.
• Advise 12–15 doctoral students and serve on 3–5 dissertation committees; act as faculty examiner on 8 Final Clinical Oral Exams.
• Attend faculty meetings, participate in recruitment/admission activities, and engage in scholarly activity and clinical training.
