Teachers are contracted to provide thirty lessons per year for each pupil. However, there is an element of flexibility required in the role, and the number of lessons taught may change on a termly basis. For those living more than 20 miles away from Uppingham, a mileage allowance is available to cover travel for each full teaching day.
