Job summary

Priory Hospital Woodbourne in Birmingham is seeking a Private Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Medical and Psychiatry department. The role offers immediate patient flow within an established addiction rehab setting, with NICE-guideline-guided treatment and comprehensive support from our network.

You will focus on clinical care, governance, and developing your private practice within Priory's national brand.

Qualifications

  • GMC registration with specialist registration.
  • Experience in eating disorders, including NHS substantive role.
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance and regulatory frameworks.
  • DBS check completed (funded by Priory).

Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat a diverse inpatient and outpatient population.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, and dietitians.

Woodbourne– Seeking a Private Consultant Psychiatrist

Priory Hospital Woodbourne, located in a peaceful and picturesque suburb of South West Birmingham, is a specialised addiction rehab centre, providing expert treatment for a range of addictions, including alcohol, drugs and support for behavioural addictions.

Our specialist addiction facility, The Manor Ward, is where our team deliver exceptional levels of treatment and care to our patients. All treatment is tailored to your individual needs and structured within National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines

What you'll bring to the role
  • GMC registration with relevant specialist registration.
  • Experience in eating disorders including at least 2 years operating within in a substantive role with the NHS.
  • A strong understanding of Clinical Governance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Successful completion of a DBS check (funded by Priory).
