Job summary

Purple Oaks Academy in Kingsthorpe, Northampton, seeks an innovative Principal or senior leader to guide its specialist provision. You will drive strategic development, lead in autism education, and build strong partnerships within the Greenwood Academies Trust and the local community.

The role focuses on a highly personalised curriculum from Early Years to Post-16, leading a culture of high expectations and collaborative practice to improve outcomes for students with complex needs.

Qualifications

Senior-level leadership experience in an academy or school setting.
Experience working with autistic pupils and complex needs preferred.
Track record of driving school improvement and multi-agency collaboration.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic development of Purple Oaks Academy and its specialist provision.
Ensure delivery of high-quality education and pastoral support for students aged 3–18.
Develop and refine a highly personalised curriculum focused on communication, independence and emotional regulation.
Strengthen partnerships with families, external agencies and the Greenwood Academies Trust.
Support continued professional growth and performance of staff.
