The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra seeks a Director to shape the long-term future of this acclaimed ensemble in Salford and Greater Manchester. You will lead artistic direction, build strategic partnerships, and expand education and digital initiatives while aligning with the BBC’s public service goals.

With a strong focus on open access, talent development and international audience growth, you will guide the orchestra’s commercial and artistic direction, ensuring sustainability and excellence

Qualifications

• Strong artistic vision for orchestral music and public service broadcasting.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills across stakeholders.
• Experience developing commercial income, touring and education priorities.

• Build on partnerships inside and outside the BBC and across the UK.
