Job summary

Oxfordshire County Music Service is looking for a highly motivated teacher of music, specialising in the violin and/or viola, to join our inspirational team. This is a full-time peripatetic role involving teaching across the county in Oxfordshire schools and music centres.

Salary ranges from £30,071 to £45,352 per year, dependent on qualifications and experience. The post is full-time and permanent, with January 2026 as the start date and some evening work as required.

Qualifications

• Able to teach pupils to a high standard in their area of musical expertise.
• Able to teach students individually, and in small and large groups.
• Adaptable, charismatic, and able to teach beyond their specialist area.
• Willing to adapt their teaching practice according to the needs of a diverse range of students.
• Able to travel throughout the county and work during the day and some evenings as required.
