Job summary

  • Collaborative work with production, scenic and project teams.
  • Experience using Adobe Illustrator and RIP software such as VersaWorks.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain large-format printers, including up to 5 metres wide.
  • Support operation and maintenance of Roland LG640 and related equipment.
  • Prepare artwork files for print and ensure colour consistency and quality control.
  • Produce graphics on vinyl, canvas, textiles, and fabric materials.
  • Complete finishing tasks: trimming, cutting, mounting, laminating, weeding.
  • Test materials and outputs to meet high standards.
  • Install graphics on walls, floors, windows and signage at venues.
  • Attend venues for safe, efficient installations and derigs.
  • Troubleshoot print and equipment issues to minimise downtime.
  • Keep printers, finishing equipment and workspaces clean and safe.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Vinyl Graphics Technician to join our Scenic team.

Reporting into our Scenic Graphics Manager, you'll play a key role in producing and installing graphics for some of the UK's most exciting live events, exhibitions, corporate experiences, and brand activations. Working across our new large-format print operation, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality printed graphics, preparing artwork for production, carrying out finishing work, and delivering flawless vinyl installations both in-house and on-site.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who takes pride in quality, enjoys solving problems, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment where no two projects are ever the same. As part of an expanding Graphics function, you'll have the opportunity to help shape its future, develop your skills, and work on projects for some of the world's best-known brands and venues.

You’ll Thrive Here If You…
  • Have experience working within large-format print production or vinyl graphics installation. (experience with 3 or 4m printers preferred).
  • Understand materials commonly used in events and exhibitions, including vinyl, canvas, textiles and fabric graphics.
  • Take real pride in producing consistently high-quality work and have exceptional attention to detail.
  • Remain calm and organised when working to tight event deadlines.
  • Enjoy solving technical challenges and troubleshooting equipment issues.

  • Have experience using Adobe Illustrator and RIP software such as VersaWorks (or similar).
  • Enjoy site-based installation work and are happy working in different venues and environments.

What You’ll Be Doing
Print Production & Finishing
  • Operating and maintaining our large-format printers, including equipment capable of producing graphics up to 5 metres wide.
  • Supporting the operation and maintenance of our Roland LG640 printer and associated print production equipment.
  • Preparing artwork files for print and ensuring colour consistency and quality control standards are maintained.
  • Producing high-quality graphics across a range of substrates including vinyl, canvas, textile, and fabric materials.
  • Carrying out finishing tasks including trimming, cutting, mounting, laminating, and weeding graphics.
  • Testing materials and print outputs to ensure the highest standards are achieved.
Graphics Installation
  • Installing a wide range of graphics including wall vinyl, floor graphics, window films, and event signage.
  • Attending venues and event sites to carry out installations safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Working alongside Scenic, Production, Logistics, and Project teams during event builds and derigs.
Equipment, Processes & Team Support
  • Troubleshooting print and equipment issues to minimise downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Keeping printers, finishing equipment, and workspaces clean, safe, and fully operational.
  • Supporting stock control and material management within the Graphics function.
  • Assisting with workshop and scenic projects during quieter periods where additional support is required.
  • Contributing ideas and improvements as we continue to develop and expand the graphics function within Event Concept.
