Job description

Job ID: 3079574 | Amazon UK Services Ltd. - A10

* Portfolio is mandatory, please attach it to your CV.

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, proficient and versatile Videographer to join our team. This permanent role will be based out of our Hoxton studio, five days a week.

Joining our team provides a unique opportunity to help represent the Amazon brand visually, set global video standards, and innovate with creative sensibility for our customers.

The successful candidate will manage all aspects of video production from concept through final delivery, ensuring every element confirms to the core tenants of the specific video format or program and the creative vision. This hands‑on position includes executing creative direction, creating category‑specific templates, establishing procedures, building production workflows and studio layout, and ensuring visual consistency across multiple projects and categories while continuously raising the bar on quality and AI technology.

Reporting to the Studio Manager and working closely with internal business teams and category teams, you will start with the customer in mind and understand the important role that video content plays in supporting business goals and creating an engaging customer journey. You will be skilled in developing new resources for video projects, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and sharing knowledge on up‑to‑date technology. You will motivate your creative teammates and encourage fresh thinking and new approaches to video.

You will inspire confidence through project management and tenacity in meeting deadlines, showing attention to detail and an acute awareness that everything counts. You will show ownership and accountability for everything you drive and see it through beyond completion, balancing a relentless desire for innovation with business priorities.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Film, edit, direct and/or produce a wide variety of video content.
  • Be tactical as well as strategic, working on set when required and knowing how to prioritize projects.
  • Create own‑brand videos to shape the look and feel of the Amazon Style Guide.
  • Identify category trends, past performance metrics, and creative insights, aggregate these to make recommendations to leadership.
  • Manage complex systems problems and productions, bringing solutions, simplifying, optimizing and removing bottlenecks and balancing short‑term vs long‑term trade‑offs.
  • Be proficient in the majority of production processes – digital content creation, location capture, on‑set photography, footage post‑processing.
  • Take projects where the implementation is not defined and deliver on schedule, applying appropriate technologies and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to team strategic vision statements, playbooks, roadmaps, and business reviews.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in photography, videography or related field.
  • Commercial video production experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Mocha, Photoshop and colour grading.
  • Expertise in motion tracking, keying, rotoscopy, match moving, colour correction and typography.
  • Strong film and photographic lighting and compositional skills.
  • Ability to supervise and direct projects with outside creative agencies and production companies.
  • Understanding of the video production process, equipment, technology and roles.
  • Creative problem‑solving skills.
  • Positive attitude within a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑starter with strong organisational skills.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Mac and PC platforms, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentational communication skills and collaborative abilities.
  • Experience communicating with stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • Strong proofreading and content creation skills.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in a broadcast, animation, design, media or artistic related field.
  • Experience working in a metrics/productivity‑based environment.
  • Ability to analyse problems logically.
  • Positive, result‑oriented attitude open to stakeholder feedback.
