Job description

Digital Natives is a social-first creative agency . Social sits at the heart of how we think, how we create and how we help brands connect with their audiences.

We’re looking for a talented, multidisciplinary Content Creator to join our team — someone who lives and breathes social media and combines that passion with strong hands-on creative craft.

This isn’t a traditional videographer or editor role. We’re looking for someone who can work across the content creation process: contributing to ideas, shooting, directing, editing and ultimately turning those ideas into brilliant social-first content.

You’ll work closely with our Creative, Production and wider agency teams, using our in-house studio and production capabilities to create work for a range of brands and platforms.

About the Role

Who We’re Looking For

We want someone who genuinely understands social .

You’re immersed in social media and naturally curious about what people are watching, sharing and talking about. You understand the platforms, audiences and behaviours that make content work — and you’re constantly thinking about what’s coming next.

You’ll have your finger on the pulse of emerging formats, creators, platform developments, cultural moments and trends across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and the wider social landscape .

You won’t just follow trends. We want you to bring that knowledge and curiosity into the agency — contributing ideas, sharing inspiration, experimenting with new approaches and helping us continually evolve the work we create.

You understand that great social content isn’t simply traditional creative reformatted for a smaller screen. It needs to be conceived, shot and edited with social behaviour in mind.

Alongside that social-first mindset, you’ll be a confident all-round maker. Someone who can contribute to an idea, work out how to execute it, pick up a camera, shoot it, direct talent and take the footage through post-production to create a finished piece of content.

You don’t need to be a specialist in every discipline. What matters is having strong foundations, great creative instincts, technical confidence and a genuine desire to keep learning.

What You’ll Be Doing
Creative & Social-First Content
  • Create high-quality content across paid and organic social , always approaching briefs through a social-first lens.
  • Contribute ideas and creative thinking across client briefs and internal projects.
  • Work alongside our Creative and Production teams to develop ideas that are exciting, relevant, achievable and right for the platform.
  • Bring a maker’s perspective to the creative process — thinking about both the idea and how we can execute it.
  • Understand how creative needs to adapt across different platforms, audiences, formats and placements.
  • Stay close to social and cultural trends, proactively bringing inspiration, references and opportunities into the team.
  • Help us experiment with new formats and approaches rather than simply repeating what has worked before.
Shooting & Directing
  • Shoot high-quality video content across a range of productions, from fast, agile social content through to larger client shoots.
  • Confidently operate professional camera equipment, with a strong understanding of lighting, composition, lenses, audio and visual storytelling .
  • Understand how shooting specifically for social influences framing, pacing, coverage and performance.
  • Direct talent, creators and contributors where required.
  • Be equally comfortable working independently on smaller pieces of content and collaborating as part of a wider production crew.
  • Work closely with producers, creatives and other specialists to bring ideas to life.
Editing & Post-Production
  • Take content from rushes through to final delivery, primarily using Adobe Premiere Pro .
  • Be highly proficient across the Adobe Creative Suite , particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop .
  • Have a strong understanding of editing, pacing, storytelling, music and sound design.
  • Edit with social behaviour in mind, understanding the importance of hooks, pacing, retention and how different platforms are consumed.
  • Use After Effects for motion graphics, animation, compositing and other post-production requirements.
  • Have a strong understanding of colour correction and grading , ensuring content is finished to a high visual standard.
  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve and dedicated grading workflows is desirable.
  • Create and adapt work across multiple cuts, formats, durations and aspect ratios for social and digital platforms.
  • Confidently take ownership of an edit through feedback, amends and final delivery.
AI, Innovation & Development

Social moves quickly, and we want someone who enjoys moving with it.

  • Explore and utilise AI and emerging creative tools as part of the creative and production process.
  • Experiment with new production techniques, technologies and ways of making content.
  • Stay curious about how the content landscape is changing and what that means for our clients and our work.
  • Proactively share new tools, trends, techniques and learnings with the wider team.
  • Help identify opportunities to make our workflows smarter, faster and more creatively ambitious.
  • Play an active role in pushing the department forward and challenging how we currently do things.

We want someone who is as interested in what could work tomorrow as they are in what works today .

Content & Workflow Management

Making great work is only part of the role. We also want someone who takes pride in what happens behind the scenes.

You’ll:

  • Take ownership of the organisation and management of footage following shoots.
  • Ensure rushes, project files and finished assets are correctly ingested, organised, backed up and uploaded to our central storage systems.
  • Maintain clear and consistent folder structures and file-management processes.
  • Ensure projects can easily be accessed and picked up by other creators and editors.
  • Contribute ideas for improving our internal production and post-production workflows.
  • Help establish and maintain good working practices across the department.
Studio & Equipment

We have our own in-house studio and production equipment , giving our team the ability to create, test and experiment without always relying on external production.

You’ll play an active role in making sure those resources are used well, including:

  • Helping keep our studio organised, maintained and production-ready.
  • Maintaining and organising camera, lighting, audio and other production equipment.
  • Helping manage equipment across shoots.
  • Ensuring kit is correctly returned, stored and cared for.
  • Flagging maintenance, repairs, replacements and future equipment requirements.
  • Making proactive use of the studio for client work, internal projects, testing and experimentation.
About You

You’ll ideally have 3–5 years of relevant experience within a creative agency, social agency, production company, content studio or similar environment.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Lives and breathes social media and has a genuine interest in social culture, platforms, creators and trends.
  • Has a strong portfolio of social-first content .
  • Understands what makes great social content and how that differs across platforms.
  • Is a genuinely multidisciplinary Content Creator with strong shooting and editing skills.
  • Is highly proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite , particularly Premiere Pro, with strong After Effects and Photoshop capability.
  • Can confidently take an edit from raw footage through to finished content.
  • Is confident operating professional camera equipment and can shoot independently when required.
  • Has a good understanding of lighting, sound and the wider technical requirements of production.
  • Understands colour correction and grading, with DaVinci Resolve experience desirable .
  • Is creatively minded and confident contributing ideas rather than simply executing them.
  • Is comfortable directing talent, creators and contributors.
  • Is interested in AI and emerging creative technology and wants to experiment with new ways of making things.
  • Is organised and comfortable taking ownership of footage, files and workflows.
  • Is collaborative, proactive and excited about contributing to a fast-moving creative team.
  • Can confidently manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.

Above all, we’re looking for someone who likes making things .

Someone who can have an idea, pick up a camera, shoot it, edit it and turn it into a great piece of social content — while continually thinking about how we could do it differently, better or next.

Benefits & Package

Alongside a salary of £35,000-40k per annum, depending on experience , we offer:

  • Cycle to Work scheme.
  • Internal and external training and development opportunities.
  • Regular team socials and wellbeing activities.
