Job summary

Cole & Yates Ltd is seeking a Video Editor to join our growing e-commerce marketing team in Redditch. You’ll turn raw footage into engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, with hands-on creative ownership and fast turnarounds.

You’ll use CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar tools, stay ahead of platform trends, and collaborate with internal content creators. This is a full-time role in the Redditch office.

Qualifications

• A portfolio of short-form video content from professional, education, freelance or personal work.
• Confidence using video-editing platforms such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels and other short-form video platforms.
• Ability to recognise what makes social content engaging and effective.
• Interest in e-commerce, social commerce and customer engagement.
• Curiosity about AI tools to support editing workflows.
• Good organisation and ability to work to quick turnaround times.
• Willingness to work from the Redditch office.

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
• Turn raw footage into engaging, natural-looking videos.
• Create strong openings that quickly capture attention.
• Add captions, text overlays, music, sound effects and transitions.
• Adapt edits, pacing and formats for different social channels.
• Keep up to date with emerging social media trends and sounds.
• Bring new editing ideas to the wider team.
• Use AI-supported editing and captioning tools where appropriate.
• Review video performance and apply learnings to future content.
• Support filming days, including basic set-up and B‑roll capture.
• Maintain an organised library of raw footage and edits.
• Produce content to deadlines with attention to detail.
