Your New Role…

We are looking for the Video Editor/Producer who will play a critical role in CNN’s Newsgathering department in London. This position focuses on two key areas: delivering the highest-quality multiplatform output under tight deadlines for London’s Newsgathering unit, and working with your Managers, and Senior Editors to develop and implement workflows, technologies, and efficiencies

Your Role Accountabilities…
  • Edit daily news content including TV packages, vertical social edits, promos, and longer-format programming.
  • Maintain organized media projects and ensure assets are easily accessible to team members.
  • Collaborate with producers, reporters, and graphics teams to define creative and editorial vision.
  • Test new workflows, software, and equipment; provide feedback to improve efficiency.
  • Mentor junior editors and contribute to department-wide training initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience…
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects is essential.
  • Strong understanding of Mac OS, hardware, and media asset management systems.
  • Proven experience editing news programming with knowledge of codecs, file formats, and delivery specifications for broadcast and digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of production, digital workflows, and newsgathering processes.
  • Ability to take ownership and troubleshoot technical issues and liaise with Engineering on workflow improvements.
  • Adapts well to change and shifting priorities, especially during breaking news.
  • Ability to make quick editorial decisions under pressure.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or late shifts when required

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
