As a skilled Video Editor, you will be shooting original high‑quality video, editing news and feature content, and optimising this for Meta, TikTok, and on‑site channels. The role involves travelling with journalists, rapidly uploading and distributing content, supporting breaking news, and using AI tools to enhance efficiency and engagement. You’ll also create affiliate content that drives traffic and revenue while ensuring all videos meet editorial, legal, and copyright standards. Flexibility, collaboration, and a focus on audience engagement are key.
The successful candidate will be highly skilled in shooting and editing engaging video content for multiple platforms, shaping story narrative through editing, visual style and sound mixing.
You will be proficient in Adobe Suite, be adaptable to new technologies, have a journalism qualification (NCTJ/BTCJ) and a solid understanding of media law.
