Job summary

State Street Investment Management in London seeks a Senior Quantitative Researcher to lead research into systematic investing and alpha generation. Qualifications

• PhD preferred in a quantitative discipline with strong research publication track record.
• Demonstrated experience in quantitative research and systematic investing.
• Hands-on machine learning experience applied to quantitative models; strong Python/SQL skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate ideas for investment process innovation focusing on alpha generation and portfolio construction.
• Lead and execute research projects from ideation to implementation and performance evaluation.
• Apply machine learning and AI to data analysis, alpha generation, portfolio construction, and risk management.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers to improve existing strategies and develop new capabilities.
• Maintain and evolve research and production platforms; document and communicate findings clearly.
