They are looking for an experienced Director of Engineering or VP Engineering to join the business to promote a customer centric and business focussed approach to development, owning multiple Product domains - acting like a mini CTO.

You’ll become the engineering owner of one of the businesses most important domains, spanning everything from payments, money flow, AI capabilities and multi‑banking solutions. You will own the product direction & strategy, alongside a counterpart in product, spanning anything from 2-4 squads (20-30 Engineers).

This position plays a pivotal role on influencing engineering culture and ways of working, requiring leadership that promotes, customer value, product thinking and business context in a high‑trust, high‑context, product‑engineering culture. You’ll set the hiring bar for the next 100 engineers, doubling to tripling the team size across the next 12 months.

This isn’t maintenance mode, you’ll be building for scale and leading greenfield domains inside a scale‑up - the rare combination of start‑up speed and scale‑up stability.

You don’t need to still code day-to‑day, but you must be able to go deep , evaluate solutions, and set direction.

Who you are :
  • Proven experience leading multiple engineering squads or teams in a fast‑paced, product‑led tech scale‑up.
  • A strong product‑engineering mindset, able to connect engineering work to user and business outcomes.
  • Excellent skills collaborating cross‑functionally.
  • At least 3+ years in Engineering Leadership roles, managing managers / leads or multiple squads.
  • Solid experience in modern web or backend technologies and cloud native architectures.

This role offer a unique opportunity architect the next generation of engineering in a fast-paced, fast-growing, tech scale‑up and would be perfect for a true product and technical leader who enjoys system design, architecture decision making and coaching EM's who has shipped complex B2B or B2C products in Fintech, payments, SaaS or marketplaces.
