Job summary

BNY is seeking a Vice President, Non-Financial Risk Controls in Manchester to join our Payments Enablement Platform team. You will lead and support NFR responsibilities, build expertise in NFR tooling, monitor program deliverables, and collaborate across Platforms, Compliance, and Risk to drive effective risk governance.

The role emphasizes proactive escalation, data-driven remediation, and strong stakeholder engagement to ensure timely, accurate risk reporting and enterprise supervision

Qualifications

  • Manages issues with root-cause analysis and remediation tracking.
  • Designs and tests control mappings and controls effectiveness.
  • Interprets KRI/telemetry for actionable insights.

  • Effectively communicates risk findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborates across 1LoD/2LoD/3LoD.
  • Proactively escalates and owns risk outcomes.

  • Build deep expertise in NFR tooling and data analytics.
  • Monitor and report status of NFR program deliverables; address blockers.
  • Drive remediation and reporting of incidents, issues, and controls assessments across the Platform.
  • Analyze trends, recommend remediation, and integrate outcomes into reporting.
  • Identify inefficiencies, flag risks, and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate with Platforms, Compliance, Risk, and Group teams to support execution.

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Non-Financial Risk Controls to join our Payments Enablement Platform team. This role is in Manchester.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support and facilitate the implementation and execution of NFR responsibilities within the Platform
  • Identify, challenge and escalation asks/initiatives that go beyond the scope of 1RC Non-Financial Risk program responsibilities
  • Build deep expertise in NFR tooling and related data and analytics
  • Monitor and report the status of NFR program deliverables, proactively identifying and solutioning for challenges/blockers.
  • Working across the Platform, drive the remediation and reporting of key incidents, issues management, controls assessments, issues as relevant to the Platform
  • Identify and Analyze trends and issues, recommend remediation approach and integrate outcomes into reporting.
  • Identify inefficiencies, flag emerging risks, and propose practical solutions grounded in data and workflow understanding.
  • Collaborate closely with Platforms, Compliance, Risk, and Group teams—contributing expertise and supporting execution.
  • Take responsibility for the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of their work, understanding how it supports enterprise supervision and conduct outcomes
