Vice President - Network, IT Infrastructure
As the lead of the Network Team, you will provide strategic direction and operational leadership for our global network infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the 24/7 performance, security, and resilience of our mission‑critical trading and data center environments (LAN/WAN, Cloud, and Colocation). You will manage and coach a high‑performing team of network engineers, driving the design and implementation of next‑generation network solutions while upholding stringent security and compliance standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure the 24/7 availability, performance, and security of all network systems, including low‑latency trading networks, data centers, WAN, and cloud environments.
- Architect, plan, and implement robust network solutions and upgrades, aligning with strategic business goals and technology roadmaps.
- Uphold and enhance network security posture through advanced firewalls, Anti‑DDoS/IPS, VPNs, and access controls, ensuring compliance with financial industry regulations.
- Manage relationships with vendors and collaborate with other divisions to understand IT demands and deliver effective solutions.
- Lead network projects; manage budgets, timelines, vendor relationships, and SLAs to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Drive operational excellence through proactive monitoring, rapid incident resolution, and comprehensive documentation of network policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the Cybersecurity Team to enhance and ensure the organization's cybersecurity posture.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to recommend and implement enhancements that optimize performance, reduce risk, and meet evolving business demands.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in networking with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing technical teams and projects in the financial industry.
- Mastery of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, Multicast, VLANs, etc.) and architecture in multi‑vendor environments (Cisco, Huawei, H3C, Fortinet, Palo Alto, F5, etc.).
- Deep knowledge and proven experience of network security frameworks and technologies.
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining exchange‑related connectivity solutions for market data and FX communications.
- Demonstrated leadership, team‑building, and mentorship abilities.
- Good analytical and complex problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua highly advantageous.
- Proven project and budget management capabilities.
- Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, CISSP, or PMP are highly valued.
