We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Financial Modeller/Engineer to join our Corporate Trust Analytics team. This role is Manchester, UK.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead the development of statistical, financial, and/or econometric models for analysing asset performance, client reference data, securities data, derivative pricing, risk exposure, or other sophisticated concepts.
  • Provide analytical and project leadership for assigned areas, independently conducting advanced, complex financial analyses.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement techniques and methodologies for various types of activities and analyses.
  • Lead modelling projects, serving as a resource to less experienced colleagues.
  • Utilize technology tools such as SQL, querying, and macro development to extract data and populate models; perform light programming or system configuration as needed.
  • Work with management to evaluate and select the most appropriate technologies for modelling and analysis.
  • Apply deep understanding of relevant processes and products to support assessment of performance, risk, or valuation.
  • Lead complex projects supporting new or evolving processes/products or initiatives with cross-functional or enterprise-wide impact.
  • Interpret findings, prepare standard and ad-hoc reports, deliver results to management and other leaders, and provide recommendations based on outcomes.
  • Translate complex technical concepts and analyses to non-technical audiences.
  • Review accuracy of reports and calculations performed by less experienced colleagues.
  • Provide work oversight and input into performance assessments for junior analysts, without formal supervisory responsibility.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong analyticaland project leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel formulas and VBA is a must.
  • Proficiency in MS Access SQL and VBA is a must.
  • Knowledge of PowerApps, T-SQL, VB.NET, PowerShell and Python programming is a plus.
