Job description

As a strategic business partner to the Product Madness General Manager, the Vice President, Finance plays a crucial role as a senior leader in the Aristocrat Finance organization. This role is accountable for ensuring strong financial stewardship, shaping the company’s growth strategy, and enabling smarter, faster decisions through insights and analysis.

The VP Finance will coordinate all aspects of financial planning, reporting and decision support, with particular emphasis on :

Strategic : shaping long‑term value creation, resource prioritisation, and growth investments.

Operational : ensuring robust reporting, compliance, governance, and scalable processes in a regulated, matrix environment. Delivering focus on revenue drivers, risk management and effective cost management.

This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer of Aristocrat with a dotted line to the General Manager, Product Madness.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnering
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the GM and leadership team, driving commercial outcomes and long‑term shareholder value.
  • Evaluate and prioritise new games, partnerships and licensing opportunities using robust financial modelling, scenario planning, and forecasting.
  • Provide insights and due diligence support for M&A opportunities.
  • Represent Product Madness within Aristocrat’s senior finance leadership community, contributing to group‑wide strategy.
Financial Management & Governance
  • Own the Annual Plan, rolling forecasts, and reporting cycles, ensuring agility, accuracy and actionable insights.
  • Be responsible for weekly and monthly performance reporting, embedding automation and modern analytics to deliver timely, relevant business intelligence.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, audit, and group governance standards in a listed, global, regulated environment.
  • Monitor spend by game, function, and initiative, ensuring resources are effectively deployed.
Data and Efficiency
  • Leverage data and sophisticated analytics (including AI‑enabled tools where relevant) to improve forecasting and scenario planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting, and decision‑making.
  • Partner with BI and Data Science teams to drive operational indicators and financial insights.
  • Lead finance system adoption and enhancements (planning, BI, ERP) to support scale and efficiency.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing finance team across FP&A, Commercial Finance, and Business Intelligence.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within Product Madness and across Aristocrat Finance.
  • Mentor and empower team members, building modern finance capabilities in data literacy and commercial foresight.

Collaborate with the Aristocrat Group Finance Centres of Excellence, Financial Controls, and Group Finance leadership teams to boost alignment, fortify governance, and encourage effective collaboration across centralised functions.

Qualifications
  • BSc / BA or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • MSc / MBA and / or professional certification (CFA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
Experience & Expertise
  • Established history in executive finance positions (VP, Director, or similar) within a listed, regulated, matrix organization.
  • Proven track record in digital B2C businesses, ideally in mobile gaming, entertainment, or technology.
  • Hands‑on expertise in budgeting, forecasting, user acquisition analysis, risk management, and compliance.
