Job description
West Yorkshire Police is seeking two dynamic and forward-thinking HR Change Consultants to join our Employee Relations team within the People Directorate. These roles are central to delivering strategic HR change initiatives that support organisational transformation and employee transition across the Force.

As HR Change Consultant, you will:

Lead and manage HR-related change projects, including organisational restructuring and transformation initiatives.

Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and build engagement for change.

Develop and implement change management strategies, communication plans, and risk mitigation approaches.

Support the redesign of organisational structures and ensure seamless integration with job evaluation processes.

Provide expert guidance on employment law, redundancy, redeployment, and employee transitions.

Coach and support leaders in managing change and maintaining morale throughout transition periods.

Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures related to organisational change., Applicants should be aware that it is not always possible to carry out adequate vetting checks on persons who have not been resident within the UK for the last three years. CIPD qualified to Level 5 or working towards, or equivalent demonstrable experience.

Previous experience of change management with a good understanding of principles, methodologies, and best practices.

Ability to think strategically and align HR initiatives with wider organisational goals. (Desirable)

Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with Trade Unions and Staff Associations.

Ability to manage timelines, resources, and deliver complex HR change initiatives.

Highly effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and create buy-in.

Ability to analyse organisational issues, assess impact of change, and develop practical solutions.

A good understanding of employment law and police regulations, particularly in relation to organisational change, redundancy, and employee transitions.
