Job summary

Vets Now Hull is seeking an Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for emergency and critical care to join on a weekend-only basis. The role offers a £10,000 recognition bonus pro rata and up to £5,000 relocation allowance, with flexible weekend rotas and shifts including Saturday and Sunday blocks.

You will join a supportive team with experienced RVNs and mentorship, developing your clinical skills in a busy emergency setting.

Qualifications

• Weekend OOH veterinary surgeon experience preferred.
• Interest in emergency and critical care.

Responsibilities

• Cover weekend shifts including nights and weekend days as outlined (e.g., Sat 18:00–Sun 09:00, Sat 12:00–18:30, Sun 08:30–18:30).
• Work within a supportive team of RVNs and support staff.
• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients and guidance to owners.

Vets Now Hull are welcoming applications from Out of Hours (OOH) Veterinary Surgeons with a passion for Emergency and Critical Care to join their team on a weekend-only basis. • Weekend nights: Saturday and Sunday, 18:00–09:00
• Saturday days: 12:00–18:30
• Sunday days: 08:30–18:30

Now for an experienced, supportive team

You’ll be joining a friendly and well-established team, supported by a long-standing group of Registered Veterinary Nurses, some of whom have been with Vets Now for 20 years.

Our Senior Vet, Susana, has led the Hull clinic for 10 years and brings valuable experience in mentorship and coaching. During overnight shifts, you’ll work alongside two RVNs and an Animal Care Assistant, with a receptionist on site until 23:00.
