Vets Now Stirling is recruiting a Weekend Vet Surgeon to support ECC caseloads at a brand-new Stirling clinic opening in November 2026. You’ll join a team dedicated to high-quality emergency care, working on a weekend-only rota within a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility.

The role offers a flexible weekend pattern, chances to develop ECC skills, and an attractive benefits package including substantial annual leave and CPD support.

Qualifications

• Experience in Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) and urgent care.
• Weekend work on a rota to cover Saturday/Sunday shifts.
• Out of Hours (OOH) veterinary surgeon role with ECC focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality ECC care at the Stirling clinic during weekends.
• Contribute to establishing a high performing, new clinic from day one.
• Deliver patient care in a modern, purpose-built ECC environment.

Vets Now Stirling are welcoming applications from Out of Hours (OOH) Veterinary Surgeons with a passion for Emergency and Critical Care to join their team on a weekend-only basis. Vets Now is the UK's leading provider of emergency veterinary care, with a nationwide network of out of hours clinics and 24/7 emergency hospitals. As part of Inspiring Vet Care, our teams make a difference to pets and their owners when they need us most.

This role offers a unique opportunity to support the opening of our new Stirling clinic, working within a purpose built, state of the art environment designed to deliver exceptional emergency and critical care.

The clinic will be a large, single level site featuring:

• Three operating theatres
• Multiple diagnostic suites and treatment areas (including future CT capability)
• Six consult rooms
• Separate cat, dog and isolation facilities
• Secure outdoor spaces
• Ample on-site parking

You'll be working alongside a supportive and experienced team, helping to establish a high performing clinic from day one while delivering outstanding ECC care in a modern, well-equipped setting.

Out-of-hours doesn't mean all hours, and the flexibility and support we provide makes balancing life easier for many of our team. If you're looking to pick up weekend hours or enhance your ECC skills, this role could be ideal. Weekend Vet Surgeons will have the choice of two rota patterns:

• 1:4 Saturday and Sunday nights (1900-0900) plus 1:4 Saturday and Sunday days (1200-1930 and 0830-1930)
• Every Sunday 1200-2200
• Both include a share of bank holidays
