Vets Now Herne Bay is seeking a veterinary surgeon for weekend work. The role offers weekend rotations with Friday night through Sunday shifts, focused on emergency and critical care in a busy clinic.
Applicants should be qualified veterinarians with UK registration and ideally some ECC experience. The position suits flexible vets looking to advance their skills while maintaining weekday commitments.
Vets Now Herne Bay is a thriving clinic with an interesting caseload. Whether you are working a second job, looking to get more ECC experience, this is a great opportunity to further your own knowledge and work with a team who are passionate about progressing the world of emergency and critical care.
The available shifts in this weekend role include 2 weekends in 4, on a 4-week rolling rota (one weekend of Friday, Saturday, Sunday night shifts and one weekend of Saturday and Sunday day shifts), plus a fair share of bank holidays.
Typically, the shift times include: Friday night shifts 1800-0900, Saturday and Sunday night shifts 1900-0900, Saturday day shifts 1200-1930, Sunday day shifts 0830-1930.
How many of the available shifts to be worked in the rota can be discussed further. In this role, we can also possibly consider 1 weekend in 4, on a 4-week rolling rota, of either one weekend of night shifts or one weekend of day shifts. We will try to work around your lifestyle and clinic requirements.
With our excellent training and development opportunities, you will have a platform to thrive in an out-of-hours environment. Working in this ECC setting you will see a varied caseload which will sharpen and develop your veterinary skills.
