Job description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Vet Surgeon to join a lovely team at a fantastic small animal veterinary practice in the City of Southampton in coastal Hampshire.

• Full‑time opportunity working 4 days a week and including 1 in 4 Saturday mornings on a rota, no Sundays and no OOH.
• Practice is established and very well equipped with new, up‑to‑date technologies and orthopaedic equipment.
• Caseload is interesting and varied and would suit a vet with a medical bias or a keen interest in imaging or cardiology or a passion for exotics.
• This role would suit an experienced vet who is happy consulting, performing routine surgical procedures and comfortable with occasional sole charge.
• Work alongside an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery and post‑graduate certificates in emergency medicine and surgery, as well as soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
• Generous CPD allowance and funding towards certificates.

Person Requirements

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent.
• Registered with the RCVS.
• Good experience in practice.
