Job summary

Mvr Locums is seeking a confident Veterinary Surgeon to join a growing small animal practice in the Kettering area. The role offers a 40-hour week, with 1 in 3 Saturdays on a rota and no Sundays or out-of-hours work.

You will join a supportive team of 2 Vets and 4 RVNs, with opportunities to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a relaunch and expansion plans. Relocation assistance available if needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years post-qualification experience.
• Comfortable handling consultations, diagnostics and routine surgery.
• Strong team player with ability to mentor junior staff when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct consultations, diagnostics and treatment planning for small animals.
• Perform routine surgical procedures as part of a busy surgery.
• Collaborate with a team of 2 Vets and 4 RVNs, mentoring where appropriate.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at a growing and successful small animal practice in the Kettering Area, Northamptonshire

• full time permanent role working 40 hours a week including 1 in 3 Saturdays on a rota and no Sundays, no OOH
• practice is established, successful and growing and is undergoing huge investment currently with an upcoming relaunch, rebrand and plans to extend.
• this is a fast paced and busy surgery with a loyal and varied caseload, including consultations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and routine surgery.
• the role would suit an experienced and confident veterinary surgeon, comfortable handling consultations, diagnostics and routine surgery with a minimum of 2-3 years' post qualification experience
• join a supportive and passionate team of 2 Vets, 4 RVNs with opportunity to mentor junior team members where appropriate.

Person Requirements

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
• Registered with the RCVS
• comfortable handling consultations, diagnostics and routine surgery
• minimum of 2-3 years' post qualification experience
• Salary to £75,000.00 per annum (subject to experience)
