Job summary

MVR Locums is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon for a small animal practice in the Bury St Edmunds area of Suffolk. The role is 36 hours over 4 days, with 1 in 6 Saturday mornings on a rota, no Sundays or OOH.

It combines consulting and surgery, split 2 days each week, with strong support for professional development. The successful vet will be confident with routine consultations and surgery and join a supportive team in a modern, well-equipped practice.

We are working to recruit a Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at a successful and growing small animal practice in the Bury St Edmunds area of Suffolk.

• Full time permanent role working 36 hours a week over 4 days including 1 in 6 Saturday mornings on a rota and no Sundays, no OOH. (part time hours also considered)
• practice is RCVS accredited and is well-equipped and modern with up to date technologies and equipment.
• role provides a balance of consulting and surgery and this is typically split between 2 days consulting and 2 days of surgery each week.
• this role would suit a confident, capable vet who has completed VetGDP and enjoys both consulting and surgical work.

Person Requirements

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
• Registered with the RCVS
