A veterinary clinic in Clevedon is seeking a confident Veterinary Surgeon for a 12-month fixed-term position. Offering a salary up to £65,000 FTE DOE, the role includes clinical leadership within a collaborative team, with no out-of-hours responsibilities. This position supports work-life balance with 6.6 weeks' holiday, private medical insurance, and a £1,250 CPD allowance. Emphasizing development, the clinic offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive working environment.
We're looking for a confident and committed Veterinary Surgeon to take the reins at our Clevedon branch. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants increased responsibility and leadership without stepping into a Clinical Director role.
At IVC Evidensia, we're driven by the passion and commitment of our people – across clinical, operational, and support teams. With over 2,500 clinics and hospitals in 20 countries and around 41,000 employees, we work together to care for around 25,000 animals every day. United by a shared purpose – Healthy Animals, Happy Owners – we're proud to champion long‑term animal health and welfare through the dedication of every individual across our international network.
This is a 12-month fixed-term position, ideally offering 34 hours across four days per week. The role includes 2‑3 days of sole charge at our Clevedon site, and 1‑2 days at our main hospital in Portishead, with no out of hours responsibilities. We are open to discussing alternative flexible working hours to suit the right candidate. Time spent at our main hospital supports integration with the wider team and provides the opportunity to benefit from their shared clinical expertise.
Our team consists of 10 vets, ranging from new graduates to experienced GPs, and includes certificate holders in medicine, and ECC, as well as an Advanced Practitioner in Ophthalmology. This wealth of experience ensures plenty of lively and collaborative clinical discussions.
We're well equipped with a wide range of diagnostic and clinical tools, including laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasonography, digital and dental radiography, in‑house laboratory facilities, and multi‑parameter monitoring equipment – among many others.
We place a strong emphasis on work‑life balance: making sure breaks are taken, no one feels overworked, and everyone finishes on time. We're a friendly and supportive team, so we're looking for someone who will not only care for their patients but also enjoy being part of a close‑knit and collaborative practice.
We would love to hear from you if you think this would be the perfect next step in your career!
