The local area is a good mix of vibrant urban life with good City access. You’ll play an integral role in delivering outstanding veterinary care, both in consults and surgery, working closely with a close-knit team of vets, nurses, and support staff who genuinely enjoy working together.

Currently we have a Clinical Director and 3 Veterinary Surgeons. Our nursing team consists of 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Animal Care Assistants. We also have 1 Practice Manager, 1 Administrator and 3 Receptionists all with a wide array of interests and talents. In our team we have a certificate holder in Acupuncture. Our nursing team are working towards certificates in Physiotherapy and Senior Wellness. Whether you’re a seasoned vet or looking for the next step in your career, if you bring dedication, good communication skills, and a team-focused mindset-we’d love to meet you. We are more than happy to support your development and growth offering full support for certificated study.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Working Pattern

We offer flexible working patterns that flex with you and your lifestyle. Whether you are looking to flex your rota hours to balance the school holidays, fix to navigate the school runs or just looking to strike that balance between home and work life. We can offer flexibility that actually works for you.

A full-time role will involve working 40 hours over 4/5 days per week. There will be 1 in 5 weekends and no out of hours or on call.

You Might Be a Great Fit If…

You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring:

  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
  • A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development

The Veterinary Centre Glasgow is a one site small animal practice. We are well equipped with the usual kit including a digital x-ray, ultrasound, full in house lab, a cautery machine and we have the additional laser to support chronic pain.

We are a dedicated team of likeminded professionals with a super friendly nursing team who are hungry for knowledge. We are keen to achieve the highest standard of care. We would love to welcome another passionate and experienced vet who brings their own unique skills and personality to add to our team dynamic.
