Job description

Explore your full potential

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join The Veterinary Centre Glasgow, a long-established small animal practice with deep roots in Glasgow's West End. Established in 1945 and proudly part of inspiring vet care since 2019, this is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a progressive practice where collaboration, clinical excellence and exceptional patient care are at the heart of everything we do.

You’ll enjoy a varied first-opinion caseload with a rewarding balance of consultations, surgery and diagnostics, while working alongside an experienced and supportive team who are passionate about learning and developing together.

Whether you’re looking to develop your surgical skills, pursue a postgraduate certificate or simply join a practice with a genuine focus on teamwork and work‑life balance, The Veterinary Centre offers the support and flexibility to help you thrive.

Flexibility that fits your lifestyle

We know that work-life balance is important, which is why we offer flexible working patterns designed to support you both inside and outside of work. This full‑time position involves 40 hours per week over 4 days, with working hours between 8:30am and 7:30pm. You’ll share a 1 in 5 Saturday rota, working 8:30am-5:30pm, with no out-of-hours or on‑call responsibilities, as emergency and OOH cover is provided by Vets Now Glasgow. We’re also happy to discuss flexible working arrangements where possible.

Our facilities include:

  • Digital radiography

  • Therapeutic laser for chronic pain management
Our team and culture

You’ll be supported to build your confidence, develop your interests and contribute your own ideas to the team.

We’d love to welcome an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who brings their own skills, enthusiasm and personality to the practice and wants to be part of a team that is committed to delivering the highest standards of patient and client care.
