Vets Now Witham, part of IVC Evidensia Group, is seeking a part-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our Emergency and Critical Care team. The role offers an interesting caseload and ongoing mentorship in a friendly, supportive environment.

You will work backshifts on a 4-week rolling rota, including weekdays and weekends, with shifts typically 7pm–12am or 4pm–12am, and a focus on collaboration on complex cases.

Veterinary Surgeon - Part-Time - Emergency Out-Of-Hours

Vets Now Witham are welcoming out-of-hours (OOH) Veterinary Surgeon applications, from Vets with a passion for Emergency and Critical Care, to join their team. At Vets Now Witham, we have an exciting opportunity for a Vet Surgeon who is seeking an interesting caseload.

Working in this ECC setting will sharpen and develop your veterinary skills.

As a Vet Surgeon at Vets Now Witham, you will benefit from ongoing mentorship.

Our Witham team is well established and experienced, where you will find a working environment that is friendly and supportive.

Vets Now Witham is located between Chelmsford and Colchester, easily accessible via the A12.

Working out-of-hours doesn’t mean working all hours

In this part-time role, you will work the backshifts.

The shifts in this role, will be on a 4-week rolling rota, and include the following: A mixture of weeknight backshifts and weekend backshifts, plus a fair share of bank holidays.

The proposed rota within this role, is on a 4-week rolling pattern:

• Week1 - Friday, Saturday and Sunday
• Week2 - Monday
• Week3 - Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
• Week4 - Monday

The shift times typically include; Monday-Friday 7pm-12am and Saturday and Sunday 4pm-12am.

As a backshift Vet you will often work as the second Vet on shift, providing an opportunity to share knowledge and work together on the more complex cases.
