Job summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal veterinary practice in the Nottingham Area, East Midlands. The role is a full-time permanent position, 40 hours per week, including 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9am to 12pm). No Sundays and no out-of-hours work.

The practice is modern, air-conditioned, and well equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, and full surgical facilities. Applicants with a strong surgical bias and some emergency care experience are encouraged

Qualifications

• Qualified veterinary surgeon with Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
• Registered with the RCVS is required.
• Experience as a Veterinary Surgeon with a strong surgical bias.
• Experience in emergency and critical care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality veterinary care for small animals.
• Perform a range of surgical procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with a team of 4 Veterinary Surgeons in a busy practice.
• Participation in on-call or weekend rota as specified (1 in 4 Saturdays).
• Support personal development and training toward certificates where applicable.

Person Requirements

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
