Job summary

Village Vet Chiswick is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our close-knit team in Chiswick, West London. The role offers a 42-hour week, a 50/50 mix of consultations and surgery, and a supportive environment with generous CPD.

We require ≥3 years' UK small animal practice experience, MRCVS (or eligible) and a passion for high-quality patient care. Salary £66,000–£70,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• MRCVS registered (or eligible) with the right to work in the UK.
• At least three years' experience in UK small animal practice.
• Confident with consultations, diagnostics and routine surgery.
• Comfortable with occasional sole charge during weekend shifts.
• Collaborative team player who builds relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Passionate about patient care and continuing professional development.
• Interest in internal medicine welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• First opinion consultations, diagnostics and medical case management.
• Routine and more advanced soft tissue surgery alongside dentistry.
• Work up cases to a high clinical standard with support from Village Vet network.
• Maintain a fair weekend rota (1 in 3 weekends) with short consult-only shifts.
• Sole charge limited to weekends only; contribute to team culture.
