Job summary

Chattyvets in South Yorkshire invites a Veterinary Surgeon to join an outstanding Small Animal Hospital & Emergency Service. Permanent role with full, part-time or weekend-only options, offering a varied caseload and opportunities to develop interests in neurosurgery, orthopaedics, endoscopy and minimally invasive surgery.

You’ll be joining an experienced team of 15 vets and 24 RVNs, with access to CT, ultrasound, and endoscopy, and strong CPD support.

Qualifications

• Qualified veterinary surgeon eligible to practise in the UK.
• Experience in small animal practice desirable but not essential for all levels.
• Willingness to develop interests in neurosurgery, orthopaedics and minimally invasive techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical and surgical care for small animals in a busy emergency and referral setting.
• Perform routine and complex procedures with a focus on patient welfare.
• Support and contribute to CPD and career development within the team.

The Role

• Full-time, part-time or weekend-only opportunities considered
• Flexible rota to suit your availability
• Weekend rota required – 1 in 2 for full-time or 1 in 4 for part-time
• Varied caseload including routine medical and surgical cases
• Opportunity to develop interests in areas including neurosurgery, orthopaedics, endoscopy and minimally invasive surgery
• Support available for vets at all stages of their careers, including certificate development
