Job summary

DNA Vetcare is a proudly independent group of multi award-winning surgeries, founded in 2006 by veterinary surgeons Alan van Heerden and Dane Walker. DNA Vetcare offers a hospital Veterinary Surgeon role in South West London, with a 4-day week, no OOH, and a supportive, high-calibre team.

You will work with Diplomates in Ophthalmology, Surgery, and Neurology, and have access to advanced diagnostic tools including CT, MRI and ultrasound. Enjoy a comprehensive package and ongoing CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Veterinary Surgeon.
• Experience in a hospital / multi-specialty setting preferred.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical and medical care to small animals.
• Collaborate with Diplomates in Ophthalmology, Surgery, and Neurology.
• Support continuous professional development and CPD access.

You’ll work alongside Diplomates in Ophthalmology, Surgery, and Neurology — all wholly employed by DNA Vetcare — giving you direct exposure to some of the best clinical minds in the industry.

Our 24-hour on-site team ensures seamless continuity of care for inpatients, allowing you to focus on excellence in your clinical work without compromise.

Rota

Full time x4 days per week
No OOH/On call
1:4 Weekend rota (days only)

Claire Baker joined Alan and Dane as a Director in 2019, originally arriving at the main London hospital in 2013 as a locum. Claire heads up the Group’s operations and vet team recruitment.
