About the Role

A veterinary practice is seeking a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive small animal team in Georgetown, Merthyr Tydfil.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality veterinary care across consultations and surgery

  • Taking responsibility for patients throughout their clinical journey

  • Conducting examinations and appropriate diagnostic investigations

  • Developing tailored treatment plans with clients

  • Performing surgical procedures appropriate to experience and competence

  • Maintaining high standards of clinical, regulatory and operational compliance

  • Communicating clearly and compassionately with pet owners

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be a qualified, MRCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon committed to clinical excellence and high standards of patient and client care.

They should be comfortable working across consultations and surgery, with the clinical judgement required to develop appropriate treatment plans for individual patients.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach are important, alongside a willingness to contribute positively to the wider clinical team.
