Job summary

Portsmouth Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to broaden surgical skills across routine, complex, and emergency cases within a collaborative clinical team. You will develop through a structured Veterinary Surgeon Skills Development Framework with annual reviews and salary progression.

Qualifications

• MRCVS registration is required.
• 12 months UK small animal practice experience preferred.
• Experience delivering high-quality patient and client care.
• Comfortable using clinical systems.

Responsibilities

• Soft tissue surgery experience including pyometras, cystotomies, enterotomies, enucleations and caesarean sections.
• Orthopaedics experience including cruciate repairs, FHNE, hip reductions and fracture management.
• Dentistry from routine extractions to major surgical extractions.
• Emergency and complex cases with potential for advanced skills in soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmic surgery and reconstructive procedures.
