Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €40,000-€50,000 DOE

Out-of-Hours: Shared rota with protected time off to maintain work-life balance

Role Overview

Southview Veterinary Hospital has an exciting opening for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our supportive and friendly team!

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is still building confidence in certain areas, such as surgery or case workups, as full training, mentoring, and support will be provided. You'll primarily focus on small animal patients, with occasional participation in our mixed animal on-call rota, giving you valuable variety and a chance to broaden your experience.

You'll be based in a modern, well-equipped practice with access to state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, enabling you to grow your skills while delivering excellent care to your patients.

About Us

Founded in 2003, Southview Veterinary Hospital has become a trusted provider of care for both small and large animals. Our team of six vets, four nurses, and seven support staff is committed to professional development and teamwork.

We offer additional services including Cardiology, Canine Physiotherapy, and Reproduction, with a dedicated hydrotherapy suite led by our in-house Physiotherapist. We are also proud to support local charities, such as PAWS and TNR programmes.

Candidate Requirements
  • Registered (or eligible) with the Veterinary Council of Ireland
  • All levels of experience will be considered: at least 1 year experience in practice is beneficial; however confident new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Interest in small animal general practice, with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
