We have an exciting opportunity for an Emergency Out of Hours Vet Surgeon to join our OOH service, providing exceptional care for our own clients as well as other feeder practices within the area. For this position, we are open to discussing 7 on, 14 off OR 3-4 nights per week rota patterns, including weekend and weekday hours.
We're excited to announce the grand opening of our state-of-the-art veterinary facility in Plymouth, scheduled for May/June 2025. Located just 1 mile north of the Devon Expressway (A38), our new clinic will offer an exceptional environment for both first opinion and secondary referral services.
The facility will feature cutting-edge technology, including Plymouth's first Veterinary Computed Tomography (CT) machine, enabling unparalleled diagnostic capabilities. Dedicated wards for dogs, cats, rabbits, and exotics will ensure species-specific, compassionate care in a comfortable setting. Multiple procedural spaces centered around a spacious prep room will facilitate a wide range of treatments and surgeries.
Our team will have access to a large staff room and office spaces designed to promote collaboration and well-being.
Our night team of Vets and Nurses provide the 'Vetcall' service in Plymouth from 6.30 pm to 8.30 am. A twilight nurse team bridges day and night shifts, with dedicated support for worried owners overnight. The Night Nurse and Night Vet remain on site at all times for in-patient care and emergencies.
We seek someone passionate about emergency work, with experience in surgeries and critical patient care. We support CPD and further qualifications, fostering a learning environment to help staff reach their full potential.
