Job summary

Vets for Pets in Ashton-under-Lyne is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our established team. This full-time role includes a 1 in 4 weekend rota, with a long weekend off every 4 weeks and the option to consult only if preferred.

CPD and certificates are highly encouraged, and the package offers excellent rates up to £70,000 (FTE, DOE) with no out-of-hours on-call. Private healthcare and memberships are included, with the practice located near Manchester.

Qualifications

• Good surgical and diagnostic skills to manage cases.
• Ability to perform full workups on cases and pursue CPD.
• Willingness to engage in certificates and career development.

Our surgery is ideally based being just 7 miles from Manchester City Centre for cultural days out, or if you prefer country walks, the Peak District is just a short drive away and it is perfect for commuters having a tram stop just outside the practice! It is also just a short drive away from Manchester Airport which will mean there is no stopping your weekend adventures.

About you:

You, the ideal candidate, will have good surgical and diagnostic skills along with a desire to explore and complete full work up on cases to compliment the current vet team. We have an amazing 5 strong nurse team that love to be kept busy as well as a friendly front-of-house team of 6 receptionists.
