Job summary

Medivet & Partners is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon for our 24-hour Southend hospital. The role offers exposure to diverse caseloads including CT imaging and advanced surgeries, with support from a large, experienced team.

The successful candidate will have an RCVS registration, a strong team-oriented focus, and willingness to pursue certificates. This is a permanent full-time position with a 40-hour week over 4 days and occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• RCVS registered veterinary surgeon.
• Experience delivering high-quality clinical care.
• Experience working in a team-based environment.
• Ability to demonstrate clinical leadership and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures.
• Provide updates to clients with clear communication about patients.
• Maintain regulatory, practice, and operational standards of compliance.
• Prepare tailored treatment plans with clear cost estimates.
• Mentor and develop team members to improve clinic performance.
• Arrange transfers for out-of-hours or enhanced care when needed.
• Share best clinical practices within and across Medivet locations.
