Job summary

Stone Lion Veterinary Hospital in Wimbledon is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our busy, 24-hour hospital team. The role involves managing a varied caseload across small animals, working four days per week (42.5 hours) and contributing to the clinical rota, including weekend shifts.

You'll collaborate with a supportive, multidisciplinary team, deliver outstanding patient care, and seize opportunities for ongoing professional development in a hospital with excellent facilities

• Solid experience in small animal practice and confidence managing own medical and surgical caseload.
• Experience in a hospital environment is a bonus.

Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at Stone Lion Veterinary Hospital in Wimbledon.

This is a great opportunity for a vet who enjoys working in a busy hospital environment, managing a varied caseload and working alongside a knowledgeable, supportive team. You’ll have access to excellent facilities, a wide range of clinical expertise and the opportunity to continue developing your skills while delivering outstanding care to our patients.

Working across four days per week, averaging 42.5 hours, you’ll be part of the hospital’s clinical rota, including a 1:4 Saturday and 1:8 Sunday commitment.

What are we looking for?

We’re keen to hear from Veterinary Surgeons who are confident in their clinical abilities and enjoy working collaboratively within a hospital setting.

You’ll ideally have:

• Solid experience in small animal practice and confidence managing your own medical and surgical caseload. A bonus if you also have experience within a Hospital environment.
• Good clinical and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient and client care.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with colleagues across different areas of expertise.
• A proactive approach to learning, clinical development and maintaining high standards of care.
