Veterinary Surgeon – Farthings Veterinary Group

Up to £83,400 per annum DOE and up to £5,000 Welcome Bonus or Relocation Package available! No OOH.

Farthings Veterinary Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their well‑established, close‑knit team on a full‑time or part‑time basis. The practice is well established with 10 FTE vets and a generous 19 FTE RVNs. It can offer a varied caseload with its clients, and has a high percentage dedicated to the Healthy Pet Club along with a high standard of care for their pets.

We would ideally like the below but we are open to all levels of experience.

The role

You will support the Practice Director in driving clinical standards, ensuring high standards of patient care. You will mentor junior team members while they master basic surgical procedures, collaborate with the Practice Director to optimise client service and business growth, budgeting and finances, and ensure all care aligns with the RCVS Code of Professional Conduct. You will attend scheduled clinical meetings and perform emergency procedures such as exploratory laparotomies, pleural effusion drainage and bladder unblocking for male cats.

Farthings is a two‑site practice based in the historical towns of Horsham and Billingshurst, within an hour train ride to London and about 45 minutes to the seaside. Situated between the North and South Downs, it offers great outdoor opportunities and excellent dog‑walking locations. The practice is also commutable from Crawley, East Grinstead, Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Horley, Cranleigh, Godalming, Storrington, Worthing, Southwater, Shoreham‑by‑Sea and other locations in West Sussex and Surrey.
