A bit about us

Carmarthen Veterinary Centre is a purpose-built, award-winning hospital in the heart of West Wales. We're a busy, multi-discipline practice with a highly experienced and supportive team, and we're proud to provide outstanding care across a varied and interesting caseload - including complex orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries, as well as exotics and wildlife.

  • In-patient Service - Outstanding
  • Client Service - Outstanding
  • Patient Consultation Service - Good

You’ll be working alongside 8 small animal vets and a fantastic nursing and support team who enjoy working collaboratively and making the most of everyone's strengths.

The hospital is well equipped, with the recent installation of a CT scanner, further strengthening our diagnostic capabilities. We're always open to developing the service, and you'll be encouraged to get involved in clinical discussions and decision-making.

The role

We're looking for a vet with 3+ years' experience to join us. If you're confident with consults and general surgery and enjoy working as part of a wider clinical team, we'd love to hear from you.

What's on offer:

  • A consult/surgery mix, with support for developing your interests!
  • Progression and training, surgical preference ideal
  • Consult-only options also considered - just let us know what suits
  • A dedicated MiNightVet team
  • Visa sponsorship and relocation packages available if you're thinking of a move

We're proud to offer flexibility, development opportunities and the chance to work in a practice that handles a genuinely wide range of cases - ideal if you're looking to keep growing your skills or want to be part of a forward-thinking, caring team.

Ideally, the preferred candidate will have a surgical bias to help support our wider team.
