Job summary

Medivet Group in Barnes is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with at least 3 years of experience and confidence with abdominal ultrasound. You will deliver exceptional patient care while upholding the highest clinical and regulatory standards, supported by a collaborative team.

The role is 40 hours per week across 4 days, with a 1 in 6 weekend rota at Medivet Richmond 24 Hour Hospital, on-call duties, and several bank holidays. Part-time applications welcomed.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years veterinary experience.
• Confident with full abdominal ultrasound.
• Qualified MRCVS with current registration (RCVS).
• General practice skills with interest in soft tissue/orthopaedics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients in consults and surgery to high standards of compliance.

As a Vet you will be accountable for patient care within the clinic, whilst ensuring we deliver exceptional care, always there for our clients, patients and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest levels of regulatory and operational standards and compliance.We are looking for a Experience Veterinary Surgeon of at least 3 years experience and is confident with full abdominal ultrasound. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence, compliance, and client service. You'll join a supportive team consisting of 2 experienced Vets, a team of support staff, 1 Head Registered Veterinary Nurse, Student Veterinary Nurse, together to provide outstanding care for our patients.The practice is equipped with:Digital X-rayIn-house biochemistry and haematology analysersDoppler and oscillometric blood pressure monitoringThe caseload offers a great balance of routine and more complex cases, providing exposure to soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics, making this an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to further develop their clinical skills and interests.If you're looking to join a collaborative team with excellent facilities and a strong commitment to high-quality veterinary care, we'd love to hear from you.This role includes a 1 in 6 weekend rotation at our Richmond 24-Hour Hospital, along with an average of 2-3 weeks of on-call duties and approximately 3 Bank Holidays per year. The hospital rota provides exposure to a varied caseload and further opportunities for clinical development.This is a 40-hour per week role across 4 days, with 1 in 6 at Medivet Richmond 24 Hour , plus a fair share of bank holidays and out-of-hours rota.
