A leading veterinary organization in the UK seeks experienced Veterinary Surgeons to manage complex surgical cases and mentor junior colleagues. The role involves performing advanced procedures and improving surgical standards across hospitals. Candidates should have significant experience and leadership skills. Competitive salary, professional development, and relocation allowance are offered.
We are looking for experienced Veterinary Surgeons (Orthopaedics, Neurology, Soft Tissue Surgery, Dentistry) to join our EDZ Groningen team. You will manage complex surgical cases, mentor younger colleagues, and contribute to elevating surgical standards across our hospitals.
In this role, you will perform advanced surgical procedures and oversee perioperative care in close collaboration with anaesthesiology, diagnostic imaging, ECC and internal medicine teams. You’ll also mentor junior colleagues, contribute to training programmes, and help drive continuous improvements in surgical protocols.
We are looking for a diplomate or certificate holder with significant experience in complex surgical caseloads, strong leadership and team-building skills, and proficiency in English (with Dutch language support available). Candidates with a strong interest in orthopaedics and several years of veterinary experience, including general practice, are also encouraged to apply, with training and supervision provided by resident-trained surgeons.
At our modern and spacious facilities, you will find plenty of room to work comfortably, supported by the latest equipment that enables you to deliver care at the highest standard.
Our hospital is designed for convenience, with easy access and ample parking for both staff and visitors. This ensures that your working day runs as smoothly as possible, without the added stress of travel or parking challenges.
We place strong emphasis on professional growth and collaboration. You’ll have the chance to work alongside highly trained specialists and to further develop your skills and interests in areas such as emergency medicine, referral care, and advanced techniques.
Above all, we foster a team-focused culture. We value teamwork, open communication, and compassionate care - both for our animal patients and for the people who love them.
