Here at Roe Valley Vets, we are looking for a friendly and approachable Veterinary Receptionist to join our team on a part‑time basis. The role will involve:

Responsibilities

• Liaising with the clients and the clinical staff to provide a high level of customer care.
• Meeting and greeting clients and pets.
• Booking appointments and diary management.
• Managing telephone and email enquiries.
• Taking payment for services and products.
• Managing cash and end‑of‑day banking.
• Maintaining a clean and safe space for our clients and their pets.

Experience of the veterinary or health care sector preferrable.

About the rota and salary

This is a part‑time permanent role working 30 hours over 3‑4 days per week. The salary will be based on national minimum wage.

We are looking for someone with exceptional customer service skills as you will be the first point of contact for clients. You must have a friendly, welcoming demeanor, have excellent attention to detail, be a confident communicator via phone, face‑to‑face and email, be patient, a team player and be proficient in Microsoft Office packages.

Roe Valley Vets is a mixed practice located in Limavady, a lovely market town in County Londonderry. Limavady has great transport links by air, road and rail. Limavady is 9 miles from the City of Derry airport and 13 miles from the Port of Londonderry. Bellarena railway station is 10 minutes away and has direct trains west to Derry, Londonderry and east to Castlerock, Coleraine (for stations to Portrush), and stations to Belfast.

We have a friendly and supportive team of 6 working Vets, 4 are full‑time split 50:50 Small/Farm, with 1 full‑time Small Animal Vet. We also have an OOH Vet who helps us out some nights and weekends. We have 5 qualified Nurses, with 1 Nurse who works 1 Saturday a month. We have 7 Support staff including Practice Manager, an Office Manager and Reception staff, plus 2 to help with Farm TB Testing.
