Job summary

CVS Vets is seeking a Veterinary Patient Care Assistant at Highcroft Veterinary Hospital, Whitchurch, Bristol. You will provide nursing care, assist Vets and Nurses, and ensure welfare for animal patients while supporting reception with appointments and payments.

This role involves varied shifts and a weekend rota, with pay aligned to the National Minimum Wage. Candidates should have animal care/handling experience, excellent customer service, and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients.
• Assist Vets and Nurses with animal restraint.
• Walk, feed, and clean patients.
• Prepare emergency and operating facilities.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance.
• Run internal lab samples.
• Answer emergency calls.
• Support reception with booking appointments and processing payments.
